I based this hat on a pattern in the Zoe Mellor book "Adorable Knits for Tots". The graph is my own design. I embroidered the cars on top -- duplicate stitch was too wonky. I'll post pictures of Alec in his hat soon -- I finished it after we dropped him off today!
Also in other knitting news, I am halfway down the leg of my sister's first sock and it is rockin. And, I have swatched my dad's scarf, in camel cashmere/merino blend, and I began the wavy lace scarf for Aunt Betty. So holiday knitting proceeds apace! More pix soon, hopefully when I find my camera :(.
